Community Guidelines & Code of Conduct

ECPC's community — discussions, course reviews, and member interactions — exists to support early-childhood professionals. These guidelines keep it safe, respectful, and useful. They apply to all members and are part of the Terms of Service.
Our Community Values
ECPC is built on compassion, respect, professionalism, and shared growth. Treat colleagues the way you would want to be treated in your own program.
Expected Behavior
• Be respectful and professional. Disagree with ideas, not people. No personal attacks, harassment, or bullying.
• Be inclusive. No discrimination or harassment based on race, ethnicity, national origin, language, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, age, or immigration status.
• Protect children's and families' privacy. Never post identifying information, photos, or stories about specific children or families in your care. De-identify all examples.
• Share responsibly. Offer guidance from your experience; make clear when something is your opinion, not established fact.
• Respect confidentiality and copyright. Only post materials you have the right to share.
Prohibited Content & Conduct
• Harassment, hate speech, threats, or incitement of violence.
• Sexually explicit content, or any content that sexualizes or endangers children.
• Spam, advertising, solicitation, MLM/recruiting, or off-topic self-promotion.
• Misinformation that could endanger child health or safety.
• Personal data of others; doxxing; impersonation.
• Illegal content, or content infringing others' intellectual property.
• Attempts to bypass security, scrape content, or disrupt the Platform.
Moderation & Enforcement
ECPC may remove content, issue warnings, restrict features, or suspend/terminate accounts for violations, at its discretion. Serious or repeated violations may result in permanent removal. Report concerns to [email protected].
Reporting a Safety Concern
If a post suggests a child is in immediate danger, ECPC is not an emergency service — contact local authorities or child-protective services directly. You may also flag the post to ECPC for removal.
